FAQ for CandleArt Wholesale and Distributor Pricing Programs
Q: What is the difference in purchasing wholesale or becoming a distributor?A: A wholesale customer usually prefers to purchase products at a discounted wholesale price for the purpose of retail selling to the end user at their establishment. These orders are usually shipped via UPS from CandleArt direct to their retail location The Distributor is typically in the business of re-selling the product to other retail customers who then sell the product to the end user. Distributors usually make larger purchases to take advantage of discounted volume pricing.
Q: Are there price differences in wholesale and/or distributor pricing ?
A: Not necessarily. All pricing is based on the quantity of product ordered and whether the customer chooses Prepaid Freight pricing or FOB freight. The pricing structure is tiered to allow larger discounts for higher volume.
Q: What does Prepaid Freight and FOB mean and do they affect my price?
A: In the simplest terms, FOB (Free on Board) implys that you pay for any freight charges to your destination. Once the product leaves the CandleArt shipping location, ownership transfers to the customer. Prepaid Freight means all freight charges are free and are built into the cost of your product. Prepaid Freight prices are most often higher than FOB prices because CandleArt has to cover all costs associated with shipping the product to you. Many customers ordering less than ½ skid quantities prefer Prepaid Freight pricing because it is a very quick way of determining the final cost of your product. However larger customer orders may want the option of sending their own freight company to pick up the items or may have negotiated rates with their preferred carriers. So this is your option.
